A Winner

Jan-Feb 2010 Italy 006

I’ve just gotten home from my vacation in Italy and have lots of recipes and food adventures from family and friends to share with you in the coming weeks, including some great meals eaten at little mountain huts in the Dolomite mountains of the beautiful Val Gardena and a visit to learn how aged balsamic vinegar is made.

Before I get to the new posts though, I wanted to let you know that a winner for the anolini cutter offered in my recent giveaway has been selected, using a random number generator. The result from the automated number selection is ….. drum roll please…. April from Abbey Sweets.

April, I hope you enjoy the cool kitchen tool from Italy. Also as promised, for each person who left a comment on my post, I’m making a donation to help the people in Haiti suffering from the recent earthquake. A check for $100 is on its way to Partners in Health, a group that brings medical care to poor communities.

Now I’m off to deal with more snow – not skiing in Italy this time, but shoveling my driveway from the latest blizzard here in New Jersey.

New recipes and posts coming as soon as I can find my way back to the kitchen and the computer.

Today's storm was bad wasn't it? My arms are so sore from shoveling multiple times trying to keep up with it.
